Hi! Thanks for visiting! This page has a little more information about me and this site.
I’ve been working in technology for over 20 years now, and I have learned a few things along the way. I started working hands-on with technology in the ’90s and have moved into different manager positions over the years. Since April of 2022, I’ve been the Chief Technology Officer at Moon Valley Nurseries. Before that, I was the Vice President of Information Technology for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona. I’m not going to go over my whole resume since you can check out my LinkedIn if you want to know about all of my work history.
I wanted to start this blog to share my experiences with leadership, technology, and other stuff. I’ve found that moving into a new position rarely comes with a set of instructions on how to do the job or how to lead people. I’ve been fortunate to have some great coaches as a part of my career and other experienced managers that have taught me what I know today. I wanted to put some of what I’ve learned in one place so that other people could maybe get some ideas about what to do if they are at a loss for direction. I know that I’ve felt lost at times and wrote about that in the first blog post on this site.
I’m also really passionate about technology and how it has the power to enable people to do more. I plan on sharing information about technology that I use that helps me in daily life at work and home.
Finally, I’ll talk about other stuff as well. Anything else that doesn’t fit into the first two categories. Since I’m new to this whole blogging thing, I wanted to create some site identity but also not limit myself at the same time. “Other stuff” seemed to cover it.
Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
